Cube Sample Explosions

Cube Measurement Explosions

August,  2000 -- LMS can now support a sampling program based on Cube Measurements (For other types of sampling programs, see the Log Measurement page).  Length, height, and width dimensions are captured on Cube Scale Tickets.  Some of these same loads are then scaled based on a random sampling basis.  LMS stores the results of both measurements for the sample scaled loads and calculates factors.  The sample factors can then be used to create Scribner Scale Explosions for loads with only Cube Measurement Tickets.  The process is very similar to the LMS Weight to Scribner Scale Explosion process.   The Cube Sample Explosion feature provides another option to derive volume information without having to scale every log (100%).
