Accurate and timely information is hard to put an exact value on, but profitable and effective Log & Timber operations depend on it.  Acquiring load information is the first step.  LMS efficiently captures essential ticket and volume data using the Transmission Processing and Weigh Station modules.  LMS also includes Sample Scale and Check-scale modules for situations where logs are not 100% stick scaled.  Sample Scale factors and the results of scale explosions are stored, so their integrity can easily be verified.

The Transmission Processing module automates the receipt, validation, conversion, and recording of log and load measurement data from a variety of sources.  Data can be retrieved as frequently as it is available.   Transmissions are first edited and validated in a separate database; a controlled environment before log and load data is written to the LMS System. This insures that duplicate or incorrect data gets deleted or corrected prior to updating the main system database.  It is in the LMS System that inventory gets updated, and payments and invoices are produced.

Manual entry screens are also available to input handwritten scale tickets, weight tickets, piece counts, cube measurement tickets, and volume summaries.  These are used when data cannot be captured electronically or in unusual circumstances.

The Sample Scale module is designed to support variations in your Sampling program.  Sample Scale can be generated from Weight, Cube Measurements, Load Counts, and Piece Counts using various Sample Bases.  Sample Bases may be widely or narrowly defined, and a number of Sample Pool Methods may be used.  Sample Scale Factors can be automatically calculated.  Factors can be automatically applied to new load data to make sure management reports are always updated for complete volumes.  Questions about Sample Scale explosions, Sample Bases, and Factors can be quickly resolved by viewing complete audit reports.

With LMS, you can be confident that volume reports and transactions are complete, correct, and current.
